Lets get the Ronald McDonald House CONNECTED

rmhc_logo_small.gifHi everyone. Tonight I had a great oppurtunity to go to the Phoenix Ronald McDonald House and cook dinner for the families staying at the house. It was such a rewarding experience for me that is so hard to put into words. I already want to go back, but I also want to do more. As I toured the facility, the one thing the families asked for most was “cable TV” and “wireless internet”. At best they have rabbit ears in most rooms and in the large common area and two computers connected to the internet for everyone to share.

When I stopped to think about it, they were missing a vital link to the outside world. A source to catch the news, watch a show to take their mind off of things for a while, or just write an email or update a blog to tell their families back at home how things were going.

I was amazed that someone like Cox Communications or DirecTV have not donated their services to a great organization like the Ronald McDonald House.

This is where I hope WE can make a difference and find a way to get these families better connected to the outside world. Who isn’t a fan of TV and the internet, right?

So, if ANYONE you know works for one of these companies, or has a friend of a friend, or can even write a letter, please help me get in touch with the right individuals at Cox and DirecTV and let’s make this happen!

Please use the contact form to reach me.
